Most Anticipated Video Games of 2012: Contempo Wall Edition
We usually focus on the TV Cavities and Ambient Light Systems, but with all the storage and component space we put in our wall units, it’s pretty obvious we like to leave room for gamers. Any Contempo Wall Unit, or even TV Console, has room for all your favorite system(s) and games. Here’s a few suggestions to help fill your drawers this spring/summer:
Kinect Star Wars
Release Date: April 3, 2012
The latest video game from Lucas Arts lets players “enter the Star Wars Universe in an entirely new way.” Featuring classic settings and characters, the Kinect system will let players become their favorite characters and physically partake in classic Star Wars activities such as pod-racing, rampaging, and of course, dueling with light sabers.
Release Date: May 15, 2012
Probably the most anticipated game of the decade, Diablo III will continue the franchise’s fixation on dark fantasy and action role playing. Facing a delay of over a decade, fans of the original series are rabidly fixated on the approaching release date. With expanded features, improved gameplay and an epic new storyline, it’s unlikely they’ll be disappointed.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City
Release Date: March 20, 2012
The latest installment in the popular Resident Evil franchise brings the battle to Raccoon City where both the Umbrella Corp. and the US Government have sent two elite teams with opposing objectives. One is being sent to determine the cause of the zombie outbreak; the other, to make sure that knowledge never leaves the city alive. Featuring solo or team playing options and fan favorite characters and locations, it’s a game that aims to take the franchise to a whole new level.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD
Release Date: July 2012
Combining a mix of classic features with a new engine for PS3 and XBOX 360, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will bring the game’s classic moves to an all-new, shiny HD experience. Early screenshots and gameplay videos certainly do look great – all the environments are crisp and crystal clear – but we won’t know just how much better the gameplay will be ‘til the controller is in our hands this summer.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Release Date: TBA 2012
The latest installment in the popular action/espionage franchise centers the plot back on Raiden, Solid Snake’s brother in arms. This time however, guns won’t be the weapons – Raiden will be armed with a sharp Japanese katana sword that can slice through almost anything. Early footage shows a whole new style of gameplay, crisp graphics, and, hopefully, the same level of detail and imagination the Metal Gear series’ reputation demands amongst fans.
